New Search For Kyron Turns Up Nothing

Yesterday, about 50 searchers working with seven cadaver-detecting dogs scoured rural areas north and west of Portland on Sunday, crossing from Multnomah County into edges of Washington and Columbia counties.
No sign of Kyron turned up

Meanwhile, Desiree Young struggles today with feelings of despair following yet another failed search for her missing son. My heart aches for Desiree and I hope she gets the answers she deserves soon.

Break Near in Kyron Horman Case?

Authorities say a break in the case may be imminent after one of the biggest probes in the state's history. Police say they've tracked nearly 3,000 leads and conducted hundreds of interviews.

"I've got to make a lot of decisions this week," says Multnoma County Sheriff Dan Staton. "It's gonna be based on ... what comes out of the investigation between now and the end of this week.

Police won't say whom they suspect or when or if they'll make an arrest, and haven't named Terri a suspect or person of interest.

Does Law Enforcement Have Enough Probable Cause To Arrest Teri Horman

Isn't t interesting that Terri arrived at her lawyer's office around 9AM on Friday and was seen leaving the Pacwest Building around 4:45PM Friday. I don't suppose they were chatting about the weather.

As you know, Law enforcement has already searched the residences of three of Terri's associates. One of the people told the press that she and another friend of Terri Horman said they’re cooperating fully with detectives since they have nothing to hide.

Both said they feel they’ve been dragged into the investigation by simply being supportive of Terri and doing things like visiting her at her home.

I suppose if my friend had a missing child I would be there to support her. I'm certain I would take her phone calls, buy groceries, fix some freeze ahead meals and such. It's what a good friend would do. I would not LIE to the police to "protect" my friend. I would not help her conceal a child, dead or alive.

Once I understood that she was not cooperating with law enforcement to do everything she could to find her missing child, I would have to withdraw my aid and comfort.

But both said they are stepping away from the situation as much as they can because it’s simply not something they want to be connected with this any longer.

Meanwhile, a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the Hanson Building located at 12240 NE Glisan Portland, Oregon. The purpose of this press conference will be to provide an update of the case and respond to questions that were submitted regarding the case.

Please, Anyone with information regarding Kyron Horman whereabouts is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office tip line 503 261-2847, or to dial 911 with emergency information.

Why Is DeDe Spicher Refusing To Cooperate With Law Enforcement?

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Law enforcement investigating the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman have been putting pressure on a 43-year-old Tualatin woman named DeDe Spicher.

Detectives learned that Spicher, who shares Terri Horman's passion for fitness and gardening, was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner on June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later.

Another person working at the home called Spicher to come in for lunch, and the homeowner called Spicher on her cell phone but she wasn't reachable. Detectives have questioned both the homeowner and the other person who was working at the home that day.

Do you suppose that this is what the three hour meeting was about earlier this week?

Thursday evening, Kaine Horman and Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, and Desiree's husband, Tony Young, said they had been briefed by law enforcement and believe Spicher is hampering the investigation. They implored her to cooperate.

Here is the full statement from Kaine Horman, Desiree Young and Tony Young:

"Good evening,

"We have been briefed by law enforcement on the most recent developments in Kyron’s case. We have been informed that they have identified a person that has been in close communication with Terri Moulton Horman since Kyron went missing and her name is DeDe Spicher. She has not only been in close communication with Terri but has been providing Terri with support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son. Additional information provided shows that she is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, she is also going as far as to suggest to others that may have information regarding Kyron’s disappearance, not to cooperate as well. We implore DeDe Spicer (sic) to come forward and cooperate with the investigators in any way that they need in order to assist us in finding our son. We will state further that if we find out through the investigation that she caused a delay in us finding our son due to her lack of cooperation, we will pursue civil remedies in this matter.

"We as a family cannot understand how anyone can look at Kyron’s smiling face, having information and choose not to help bring him home. Please remember what this is about, it’s about bringing a wonderful little boy back to his family.

"Desiree, Tony, and Kaine"

Is Terri Flaming Herself In The Forum?

Yesterday I asked the question who is HopeInVirginia?

After going through all her posts it seemed that HopeInVirginia had much to say and appeared to "protest too loudly" about Terri. Indeed HopeInVirginia may very well have been Terri or at least someone who feels a kinship with Terri perhaps familial.

I also noticed a ploy I remember from another forum of which I am a member.

In that other forum I had read a thread begun by a woman who was living with her boyfriend. He was not paying child support, he didn't have a job, and she felt that it was pretty crappy that his ex-wife was trying to take him back to court because he wasn't paying his child support. She went on and on about how the evil ex wife wanted him to pay her $100 per month and how the evil ex wife didn't deserve that. She should get out there and get a job and take care of the two kids. (This was a few years back and unemployment was not as high as it is now.)

I suggested that perhaps he needed to get a job and begin paying his child support. I suggested that he try applying at the local McDonalds or Walmart.

She went off at me telling me how evil the ex wife was and how she called her boyfriend and yelled at him.

I suggested that she take a good look at how he was living his life now because she was seeing her future.

Another person entered the thread and tore in to me. This new person told me that I had no clue whatsoever about what was going on and that it was obvious to her that the ex was a B$@&! This new poster accused me of being the same thing because I didn't realize that boyfriend was entitled to start a new life with girlfriend and ex wife needed to do the same thing and stop asking for money.

Why in the world would someone waste their first post berating me when there were other more interesting topics on the board. A new poster came online and they also used their first post to go after me.

The next post came from someone new to the post but not the forum. She wanted to know why there was such a vicious attack going. She was then attacked by all "three of them" too. Turns out that there was only one person and she created two new identities so she could argue her point.

I find it interesting that two "new posters" began posting on the Oregon site now that HopeInVirginia stopped posting. One insintel even claimed she had inside info. The other is 42State. Quite the lovefest between the "two" of them.

Perhaps "they" are one in the same. Maybe "they" are actually Terri's new personas.
notice that they were both created the same day right after "hope" disappeared.

Terri Horman Is Moving Out On Saturday

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Attorneys for Kaine Horman and Terri Horman alerted the court about 1:30 p.m. today that they have settled out of court when Terri will move out of their home.

She has agreed to vacate the house on Northwest Sheltered Nook Road by 3 p.m. Saturday.

Houze said Terri agreed to move out, give up rights to custody, but the hearing will address financial and other issues. A date of September 21 was set aside for the contempt of court hearing.

This is all very amazing. When I was going through my divorce my ex never tried to get custody of the kids. I would sooner die than to lose one of them. Nothing, and I mean nothing could have kept me from going to court to retain custody of my children.

This action speaks volumes about Terri and sadly it doesn't bode well for Kyron. If she's willing to sacrifice her own flesh and blood to save herself, then Kyron never stood a chance. (IMHO)

This quote from an article by KOIN is very telling also.

When asked via email by KOIN if he believes Terri had something to do with Kyron's disappearance, he wrote: "I believe at some point she will be arrested

Update On The Kyron Horman Case

The restraining order against Terri Moulton Horman was released just after noon today.

The order requires Terri Horman to stay more than 500 feet from her husband or daughter, and not go to the Skyline School, Kaine's Intel office or his gym, The Edge in Beaverton. She's also restricted from entering her daughter's current or future day care provider or school. Terri Horman was also ordered not to possess any firearms

As you can see, Kaine sites the fact that the police notified him that there had been a plot to kill him.

Kaine Horman has asked a judge to order Terri to move out of their rural Northwest Portland house, according to court papers.

Meanwhile Kyron is still missing and I believe someone knows something that will help find him.

Please if you know anything about the whereabouts of Kyron Horman is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's tip line at 503-261-2847.

Landscaper Says Terri Horman Wanted Him To Kill Her Husband!

Right from the beginning I have been trying to figure out why a step-mother would murder a child she had raised almost since birth.

It would seem that if he were an infant then the motive may have be jealousy. Perhaps she wanted her husband for her very own or much like a cowbird. Cowbirds will lay its eggs in another bird nest. Starvation will often kill the host's chicks. In some species the cowbird chick will use its large size to push the other chicks out of the nest.

I wondered about the fact that she now had a baby girl and if perhaps Kyron's gender played in to his disappearance. There have been cases in which children were killed because they were the wrong sex. Was she even fearful that little Kyron might pose some kind of "threat" to her child.

Was insurance involved? Did she wrack up a lot of debt and then decided that Kyron was the one to sacrifice.

Did Kyron stand in her way? If so what kind of impediment did he pose?

None of these things make sense to a normal person, but then again how many NORMAL people go around killing children? People who do that have flawed thinking (understatement of the year).

Then this morning it is announced that A landscaper who worked for Kyron Horman's family at their rural Northwest Portland home told authorities that the missing boy's stepmom offered to pay him to kill her husband.

Turns out the landscaper told authorities that Terri Moulton Horman approached him with the murder-for-hire plot six to seven months before Kyron disappeared. It sure would have been nice if he could have gone to the police right away on that one.

My best friend went through a contentious divorce as did I. No doubt in a moment of anger or hopelessness we muttered the words, "I could just kill him." Neither one of us sought out a hitman because as crazy and out of control as our life felt we certainly would never have decided to actually kill another human being. It just wasn't in our nature.

It was this revelation to the father that prompted him to leave Terri and take his small daughter with him.

Then comes the question? Why kill this child? Let's say that Kaine is the most evil SOB who ever walked the face of the earth for the sake of argument. Perhaps you feel the only way to escape years of abuse and infidelity is to kill him. Why kill the child?

Did she feel the child knew something that could derail her plans? Did he witness an affair and she was afraid that he may tell his father. If so, he might leave her before the hit goes down and then she might lose the insurance she hopes to gain? Did she kill him to hurt her husband, perhaps feeling that life without his son would be a living death for him?

What is important right now is that Kyron is found. Someone, somewhere knows something and that bit of knoweldge could be the key to bringing Kyron home.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Kyron Horman is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's tip line at 503-261-2847.

Kyron Horman's Stepmother Served With Restraining Order & Divorce Papers

There is a new wrinkle in the case of Kyron Horman. According to sources Kyron Horman's stepmother was served with a restraining order and a petition for dissolution of marriage about 6 p.m. Monday.

Terri Moulton Horman seems to reside in an altered reality because she has publicly denied that her husband, Kaine Horman, and 18-month-old daughter, Kiara, had moved out.

She wanted people to know that "Everything's good!" "Everything's fine!"

I'm sorry, the boy that you raised as your own has been missing for almost a month and EVERYTHING is GOOD? Just how can that be.

Even her own father said that the possibility that Terri Homan will be arrested is 50-50.

The dissolution petition filed by Kaine Horman in Multnomah County Circuit Court listed his representative as Laura Rackner, a family law attorney with Gearing, Rackner & Engel in Portland.

In a statement released Monday afternoon through the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, Kyron's biological mother, Desiree Young, his stepfather, Tony Young, and Kaine Horman said they don't want to say too much to the media to keep the integrity of the investigation sound.

"We are in complete support of that investigation," the statement said. "Any actions taken by the investigation, or by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law. Beyond this, we have no comment on the matter."

The statement was not signed by Terri Horman.

Please if you know something about the disappearance of Kyron contact the Sheriff’s office located at 12240 NE Glisan in Portland or tip line at 503-261-2847.
