New Search For Kyron Turns Up Nothing

Yesterday, about 50 searchers working with seven cadaver-detecting dogs scoured rural areas north and west of Portland on Sunday, crossing from Multnomah County into edges of Washington and Columbia counties.
No sign of Kyron turned up

Meanwhile, Desiree Young struggles today with feelings of despair following yet another failed search for her missing son. My heart aches for Desiree and I hope she gets the answers she deserves soon.

New Search For Clues In Kyron Horman Case

It's almost ten weeks since Kyron has disappeared and searchers in the investigation were working east of Skyline Elementary Saturday, acting on information developed from Dede Spicher.

Meanwhile, friends of the little boy released balloons from his Wall of Hope on Saturday. This event was also at Skyline Elementary.

Dede has continued to be more cooperative than when Kyron’s parents released a statement imploring her to cooperate with the probe but investigators continue to believe she still has not told everything she knows.

Please, Anyone with information regarding Kyron Horman whereabouts is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office tip line 503 261-2847, or to dial 911 with emergency information.

The Faces of Innocence

If I were to caption this photo, I would say, "Three out of four ain't bad."

It seems in the great echo chamber that is the internet there is now a Facebook page support group for Terri supporters.

Be forwarned that anyone posting negative comments will be banned immediately. This kind of goes against their assurance Feel free to state your opinions. That is to say that unless your opinions don't agree with theirs.

I can't begrudge them their Facebook page because human nature says that people want to be with like minded people and hear what they want to hear. This is why most conservatives do not surround themselves with liberals and why liberals would still hate Bush even if he personally dashed into a burning building and saved four small children and a puppy single-handedly.

Reward In The Kyron Homan Case Has Been Increased

Please let me know if your heart doesn't just break for Kyron's Mom as she tells Kyron to to never give up home and she is coming to get him.

I hope so. I certainly hope so.

In the meantime 11,000 hours have been dedicated to the search of Kyron Horman.

Break Near in Kyron Horman Case?

Authorities say a break in the case may be imminent after one of the biggest probes in the state's history. Police say they've tracked nearly 3,000 leads and conducted hundreds of interviews.

"I've got to make a lot of decisions this week," says Multnoma County Sheriff Dan Staton. "It's gonna be based on ... what comes out of the investigation between now and the end of this week.

Police won't say whom they suspect or when or if they'll make an arrest, and haven't named Terri a suspect or person of interest.

Does Law Enforcement Have Enough Probable Cause To Arrest Teri Horman

Isn't t interesting that Terri arrived at her lawyer's office around 9AM on Friday and was seen leaving the Pacwest Building around 4:45PM Friday. I don't suppose they were chatting about the weather.

As you know, Law enforcement has already searched the residences of three of Terri's associates. One of the people told the press that she and another friend of Terri Horman said they’re cooperating fully with detectives since they have nothing to hide.

Both said they feel they’ve been dragged into the investigation by simply being supportive of Terri and doing things like visiting her at her home.

I suppose if my friend had a missing child I would be there to support her. I'm certain I would take her phone calls, buy groceries, fix some freeze ahead meals and such. It's what a good friend would do. I would not LIE to the police to "protect" my friend. I would not help her conceal a child, dead or alive.

Once I understood that she was not cooperating with law enforcement to do everything she could to find her missing child, I would have to withdraw my aid and comfort.

But both said they are stepping away from the situation as much as they can because it’s simply not something they want to be connected with this any longer.

Meanwhile, a press conference is scheduled for Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the Hanson Building located at 12240 NE Glisan Portland, Oregon. The purpose of this press conference will be to provide an update of the case and respond to questions that were submitted regarding the case.

Please, Anyone with information regarding Kyron Horman whereabouts is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office tip line 503 261-2847, or to dial 911 with emergency information.

Why Is DeDe Spicher Refusing To Cooperate With Law Enforcement?

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Law enforcement investigating the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron Horman have been putting pressure on a 43-year-old Tualatin woman named DeDe Spicher.

Detectives learned that Spicher, who shares Terri Horman's passion for fitness and gardening, was doing gardening work for a Northwest Portland homeowner on June 4. She abruptly left the house about 11:30 a.m. and didn't return until an hour to 90 minutes later.

Another person working at the home called Spicher to come in for lunch, and the homeowner called Spicher on her cell phone but she wasn't reachable. Detectives have questioned both the homeowner and the other person who was working at the home that day.

Do you suppose that this is what the three hour meeting was about earlier this week?

Thursday evening, Kaine Horman and Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, and Desiree's husband, Tony Young, said they had been briefed by law enforcement and believe Spicher is hampering the investigation. They implored her to cooperate.

Here is the full statement from Kaine Horman, Desiree Young and Tony Young:

"Good evening,

"We have been briefed by law enforcement on the most recent developments in Kyron’s case. We have been informed that they have identified a person that has been in close communication with Terri Moulton Horman since Kyron went missing and her name is DeDe Spicher. She has not only been in close communication with Terri but has been providing Terri with support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son. Additional information provided shows that she is refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, she is also going as far as to suggest to others that may have information regarding Kyron’s disappearance, not to cooperate as well. We implore DeDe Spicer (sic) to come forward and cooperate with the investigators in any way that they need in order to assist us in finding our son. We will state further that if we find out through the investigation that she caused a delay in us finding our son due to her lack of cooperation, we will pursue civil remedies in this matter.

"We as a family cannot understand how anyone can look at Kyron’s smiling face, having information and choose not to help bring him home. Please remember what this is about, it’s about bringing a wonderful little boy back to his family.

"Desiree, Tony, and Kaine"

Is Terri Flaming Herself In The Forum?

Yesterday I asked the question who is HopeInVirginia?

After going through all her posts it seemed that HopeInVirginia had much to say and appeared to "protest too loudly" about Terri. Indeed HopeInVirginia may very well have been Terri or at least someone who feels a kinship with Terri perhaps familial.

I also noticed a ploy I remember from another forum of which I am a member.

In that other forum I had read a thread begun by a woman who was living with her boyfriend. He was not paying child support, he didn't have a job, and she felt that it was pretty crappy that his ex-wife was trying to take him back to court because he wasn't paying his child support. She went on and on about how the evil ex wife wanted him to pay her $100 per month and how the evil ex wife didn't deserve that. She should get out there and get a job and take care of the two kids. (This was a few years back and unemployment was not as high as it is now.)

I suggested that perhaps he needed to get a job and begin paying his child support. I suggested that he try applying at the local McDonalds or Walmart.

She went off at me telling me how evil the ex wife was and how she called her boyfriend and yelled at him.

I suggested that she take a good look at how he was living his life now because she was seeing her future.

Another person entered the thread and tore in to me. This new person told me that I had no clue whatsoever about what was going on and that it was obvious to her that the ex was a B$@&! This new poster accused me of being the same thing because I didn't realize that boyfriend was entitled to start a new life with girlfriend and ex wife needed to do the same thing and stop asking for money.

Why in the world would someone waste their first post berating me when there were other more interesting topics on the board. A new poster came online and they also used their first post to go after me.

The next post came from someone new to the post but not the forum. She wanted to know why there was such a vicious attack going. She was then attacked by all "three of them" too. Turns out that there was only one person and she created two new identities so she could argue her point.

I find it interesting that two "new posters" began posting on the Oregon site now that HopeInVirginia stopped posting. One insintel even claimed she had inside info. The other is 42State. Quite the lovefest between the "two" of them.

Perhaps "they" are one in the same. Maybe "they" are actually Terri's new personas.
notice that they were both created the same day right after "hope" disappeared.

Terri Horman Is Moving Out On Saturday

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Attorneys for Kaine Horman and Terri Horman alerted the court about 1:30 p.m. today that they have settled out of court when Terri will move out of their home.

She has agreed to vacate the house on Northwest Sheltered Nook Road by 3 p.m. Saturday.

Houze said Terri agreed to move out, give up rights to custody, but the hearing will address financial and other issues. A date of September 21 was set aside for the contempt of court hearing.

This is all very amazing. When I was going through my divorce my ex never tried to get custody of the kids. I would sooner die than to lose one of them. Nothing, and I mean nothing could have kept me from going to court to retain custody of my children.

This action speaks volumes about Terri and sadly it doesn't bode well for Kyron. If she's willing to sacrifice her own flesh and blood to save herself, then Kyron never stood a chance. (IMHO)

This quote from an article by KOIN is very telling also.

When asked via email by KOIN if he believes Terri had something to do with Kyron's disappearance, he wrote: "I believe at some point she will be arrested

Who Is HopeInVA?

I am never surprised that to hear that there are two sides to every story. I may sound a bit egotistical, but there are times I think that there is one point of view that any rational person should have.

For example, I remember hearing a news story years ago about someone using duck tape to tape a dogs head so that it could not see or open its mouth and then set the dog on fire, then freed it so that it would run into the busy highway.

The dog managed to live, amazingly enough, and the suspects were eventually found and arrested. You would think that reasonable people would call for the offenders to be punished with some jail time.

I was surprised when these juveniles (ages 14-17) had a number of supporters many who passionately argued that these were just kids. Now mind you I didn't want the death penalty but I definitely wanted them to receive psychiatric help IN JAIL.

The supporters of the juveniles attacked people online claiming that they cared more about animals than people. They said over and over that we "didn't know the whole story". We were also told endlessly about innocent until guilty. Fine. When and if they were found guilty I wanted them in jail.

Recently, there has been suspicion that Terri Horman has taken to posting on Forums online.

Again, if my world was falling apart, my step-child missing, my husband leaves me AND takes my child AND wants me out of my house, I wouldn't have the time for sexting let alone posting on forums.

This is NOT to say I'm pronouncing her guilty of Kyron's disappearance. I'm putting that to the side, I'm saying that when I'm depressed, I'm not posting to forums and I'm certainly not making snarky responses.

So who is HopeInVA? (why in the heck to you pick VA anyway?) Some people believe it's none other than Terri herself. She might want to make better use of her time like packing her stuff up before she is forced to leave the marital home.

Maybe it's not Terri. Maybe it's one of her friends. Isn't it AMAZING that HopeInVA appears to be an insider of sorts. Either way how does this help find Kyron and shouldn't that be the focus?

I will read these quotes from http://connect.oregonlive.com/user/HopeInVA/comments.html and you decide.

if the situation were that someone was saying to their attorney, in private, without any legal secy or paralegal or unretained atty in earshot, that they were going to kill someone else, THEN the atty would be free of atty-client privilege....but otherwise, it's "to the grave". o.O. i'm sure it'll upset some of the haters & FB Gang now. pfft! :P

that's the logic, pfigment. took Mayberry RFD a while to get there, but i think they're close....wutz so funny is that one day the oregonian publishes a slant on the family structure one way one day, then publishes the polar opposite slant on them another day...same information.

& that's paralleled the view of the case, & the key players, from day 14.
(i would say day 1, but we all know everything had only 1 slant, versus TH, then)
Kyron's a real cutie, & I'm questoning what Drama Queen Desiree meant exactly when she said (in her very tardy statement..er, letter targeted at an adult-level reader not a 2nd grader that Kyron is) that Kyron's had a difficult life.......considering how she gave him up to Kaine & Terri rather than allowed her parents to raise him for her during her convalescence from kidney failure (transplant surgery), hard is an understatement when your own mother gives you up & you've got ice-man for a biodad.
D.Q.D. sure is a piece o'work.

where was phyllis?
getting ready for that move to cali

no wonder LE can't figure out where to find Kyron
given all the choices among the 5 adults (chronologically speaking only)
...KH needs to be sterilized....if he got rid of 'the boyz' in his life, he's left with only females that he can easily control...problem is that Kiara is a dead-ringer for her mother which'll bother phyllis but isn't that by design by an antisocial personality like kaine

that's Drama Queen D for ya...such a tool
can anyone really not understand how her & Kaine's marriage broke up -- they're both icier than an glacier in the Alps; blood freezes up in their veins

attorney-client privilege is gonna fully protect SM so there's no way she won't tell him every detail that she's aware of, not only about herself but cold-blooded Kaine, ice princess Desiree, & so forth. she has nothing to lose in telling Houze. plus, he's sorta cute so why not.

she certainly did - a true professional body builder .. get back to the gym, TH & get on some sports mag covers....older gals need an inspiration, which TH truly is.

Posted on Landscaper tells detectives Terri Moulton Horman offered him money to kill her husband on July 04, 2010, 9:07AM

anytime you have a father taking a 2 yo child from it's mother, the mother's instinct will be to protect that child with all she's got; Kaine sprung this on her, I'm sure it was totally out of the blue, I'm sure he discussed it with his divorce attorney prior to the heinous act & the divorce attorney (NOT LE) told him what to do; if Kaine did as he was instructed, he baited Terri into argument & possibly pushing/shoving or threats as emotions ran high, which gave him what he needed to file the TRO

LE would NOT have told him to move out with Kiara, steal Kiara, or file for divorce from TH. TH could sue them & win.
LE WOULD HAVE removed Kiara themselves, with child protective services, IF they thought Kiara's life was endangered or threatened in any way. LE DIDN'T.

Kaine did. all on his own.
while Kyron, HIS SON, was/IS Missing.
Tells you something about his priorities, his cold, calculating, remorseless, unethical, immoral character. JMHO, of course.

Mother Believes Stepmother Planned Kyron's Disappearance

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

This clip comes from Kyron's mother, Desiree Young's, appearance on the today show.

I pray that Desiree is correct and that her son Kyron is still alive.

Meanwhile, the first court hearing for Terri Horman is scheduled for July 22 and will address her moving schedule. The second hearing is set for Sept. 21 when the judge will address allegations that she violated her restraining order.

Houze said Terri Horman would be in court for both hearings.

Update On The Kyron Horman Case

The restraining order against Terri Moulton Horman was released just after noon today.

The order requires Terri Horman to stay more than 500 feet from her husband or daughter, and not go to the Skyline School, Kaine's Intel office or his gym, The Edge in Beaverton. She's also restricted from entering her daughter's current or future day care provider or school. Terri Horman was also ordered not to possess any firearms

As you can see, Kaine sites the fact that the police notified him that there had been a plot to kill him.

Kaine Horman has asked a judge to order Terri to move out of their rural Northwest Portland house, according to court papers.

Meanwhile Kyron is still missing and I believe someone knows something that will help find him.

Please if you know anything about the whereabouts of Kyron Horman is asked to call the Multnomah County Sheriff's tip line at 503-261-2847.

Landscaper Says Terri Horman Wanted Him To Kill Her Husband!

Right from the beginning I have been trying to figure out why a step-mother would murder a child she had raised almost since birth.

It would seem that if he were an infant then the motive may have be jealousy. Perhaps she wanted her husband for her very own or much like a cowbird. Cowbirds will lay its eggs in another bird nest. Starvation will often kill the host's chicks. In some species the cowbird chick will use its large size to push the other chicks out of the nest.

I wondered about the fact that she now had a baby girl and if perhaps Kyron's gender played in to his disappearance. There have been cases in which children were killed because they were the wrong sex. Was she even fearful that little Kyron might pose some kind of "threat" to her child.

Was insurance involved? Did she wrack up a lot of debt and then decided that Kyron was the one to sacrifice.

Did Kyron stand in her way? If so what kind of impediment did he pose?

None of these things make sense to a normal person, but then again how many NORMAL people go around killing children? People who do that have flawed thinking (understatement of the year).

Then this morning it is announced that A landscaper who worked for Kyron Horman's family at their rural Northwest Portland home told authorities that the missing boy's stepmom offered to pay him to kill her husband.

Turns out the landscaper told authorities that Terri Moulton Horman approached him with the murder-for-hire plot six to seven months before Kyron disappeared. It sure would have been nice if he could have gone to the police right away on that one.

My best friend went through a contentious divorce as did I. No doubt in a moment of anger or hopelessness we muttered the words, "I could just kill him." Neither one of us sought out a hitman because as crazy and out of control as our life felt we certainly would never have decided to actually kill another human being. It just wasn't in our nature.

It was this revelation to the father that prompted him to leave Terri and take his small daughter with him.

Then comes the question? Why kill this child? Let's say that Kaine is the most evil SOB who ever walked the face of the earth for the sake of argument. Perhaps you feel the only way to escape years of abuse and infidelity is to kill him. Why kill the child?

Did she feel the child knew something that could derail her plans? Did he witness an affair and she was afraid that he may tell his father. If so, he might leave her before the hit goes down and then she might lose the insurance she hopes to gain? Did she kill him to hurt her husband, perhaps feeling that life without his son would be a living death for him?

What is important right now is that Kyron is found. Someone, somewhere knows something and that bit of knoweldge could be the key to bringing Kyron home.

Parents Urge Kyron Horman's Stepmother To Cooperate

The biological parents of a missing Oregon boy issued a plea for his stepmother. "We implore Terri Horman to fully cooperate with the investigators to bring Kyron home,"

Interestingly enough, while search teams spent ten days combing the hills and ravines near the school his biological parents ares still expresssing hope the boy was alive. (I pray this is true).

"Kyron is still alive," his mother, Desiree Young, said. "We would like all of you -- everyone -- to continue to get his face out there, to continue looking for him in your day-to-day activities."

Meanwhile various media outlets have filed a document requesting oral argument to unseal the Restraining Order.

Kyron Horman's Stepmother Served With Restraining Order & Divorce Papers

There is a new wrinkle in the case of Kyron Horman. According to sources Kyron Horman's stepmother was served with a restraining order and a petition for dissolution of marriage about 6 p.m. Monday.

Terri Moulton Horman seems to reside in an altered reality because she has publicly denied that her husband, Kaine Horman, and 18-month-old daughter, Kiara, had moved out.

She wanted people to know that "Everything's good!" "Everything's fine!"

I'm sorry, the boy that you raised as your own has been missing for almost a month and EVERYTHING is GOOD? Just how can that be.

Even her own father said that the possibility that Terri Homan will be arrested is 50-50.

The dissolution petition filed by Kaine Horman in Multnomah County Circuit Court listed his representative as Laura Rackner, a family law attorney with Gearing, Rackner & Engel in Portland.

In a statement released Monday afternoon through the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, Kyron's biological mother, Desiree Young, his stepfather, Tony Young, and Kaine Horman said they don't want to say too much to the media to keep the integrity of the investigation sound.

"We are in complete support of that investigation," the statement said. "Any actions taken by the investigation, or by us, are based on the best interests of Kyron and Kiara and comply with the law. Beyond this, we have no comment on the matter."

The statement was not signed by Terri Horman.

Kyron Horman's Parents Speak Out

Kyron's Dad and Mom were on Fox News this morning. Dad was asked if his wife, (Step-Mom)took two lie detector tests. He neither denied nor acknowledged, saying simply that she was cooperating with authorities. I also found his response to the question, "Did people even see your son come into the school?" very interesting. What does "We're not discussing that mean exactly?

The video also goes into why no Amber Alert was issued.

They have released videos of Kyron. I think videos are more helpful because you can see characteristics and quirks of an individual.

Kyron Is Still Missing But Is The Public Losing Interest?

There is a shelf-life for any story and then that story is buried.

I remember when my youngest son was a baby and a friend told me that her cousin's baby was just taken from a local hospital in DC. The child was an infant and had been taken to the hospital because he was having difficulty breathing. The mother went to the hospital where the baby was stabilized and was going to be kept overnight for observation.

The mother slept in the room with the baby and some time in the early morning a "nurse" came in for her son saying she needed to take the baby for some tests.

Half awake and in a hospital setting the mother mumbled OK and drifted back to sleep. When she woke up the baby still wasn't back in his hospital crib. She ran out into the hall to ask a nurse where her baby was.

The nurse accompanied her back to the room to check the chart and noticed that no notation had been made. The nurse went to the nurses station and that began the search for her infant son.

This happened about 25 years ago so hospitals did not have cameras. Reports of babies being stolen from hospitals were virtually unheard of. Photos of the baby hit the news. Pleas emphasizing that the baby had been sick and needed medication were all over the news.

I remember telling my friend three weeks later that I was certain that they would find her nephew but in my heart I was certain that the the "magic window" for finding her nephew was probably closed.

The story of the disappearance eventually was knocked off the front page and most people either forgot about the missing baby or figured that the child was found.

My friend and I both had sons not much older than this missing baby and we couldn't help but eye strangers suspiciously when they would approach our babies to say how cute they were.

Then about three months later a fire broke out in one of the condemned project apartments in SE DC a few miles away from the hospital. Squatters were living in these condemned buildings which lacked running water and electricity.

One of the firemen noticed an African American woman who had walked her baby over to watch the action. The fireman commented on her baby and she said that it was her son. Interestingly enough her son was white and had blond hair and blue eyes. Something just didn't feel right about the whole thing and he noticed that she went back into one of the condemned buildings.

He reported it to the cops who went to pay a visit. What they found would have sickened anyone. The toilets and the bathtub was filled with human waste. Dirty diapers were all over and so were roaches. The baby? It was the baby who was stolen from the hospital.

While Kyron's story grabbed the headlines the story seems to be losing traction in the news. I read where a sign hanging from an overpass was being taken down.

This does not mean that the police have forgotten but eventually the media moves on to talk about stories like Al Gore being a "Crazed Sex Poodle" because sex sells.

It is the family who must try to keep the story alive. Each time the story is put forward in the media law enforcement receives tips. Some of these tips may be THE tip needed to bring Kyron home.

I know some people are frustrated by the police not releasing more information. This make sense because if the police released everything because there are somethings that are only known by a credible witness or a perpetrator.

It's very frustrating to the public but this is extremely important. Please if you know something about the disappearance of Kyron contact the Sheriff’s office located at 12240 NE Glisan in Portland or tip line at 503-261-2847.

Is Kyron's Step-Mother The Prime Suspect?

When I first heard the Kyron story I wondered,"Did his step-mother have something to do with this?" Did it seem odd that she took a photo of him at school just moments before he allegedly disappeared or was this a very tragic twist of fate?

I didn't want to rush to conclusions and so I decided to see what I could learb about her. As you know she had a Masters in Early Childhood Education, had subbed at the school on previous occassions, and had helped raise Kyron since he was a baby.

Did this seem like the portrait of a "mother" who could kill? What exactly is the portait of a mother who can kill?

I focused on the fact that there were no cameras in the shool to monitor what goes on in the building as well as the fact that the school never made a phone call about the child not showing up to class. Many schools have automated programs that do just that.

So many strangers in the building because of the science fair would it be right for me to come after the Stepmom. I felt that it was strange that they changed this missing person case to a criminal case so quickly.

Here are the questions that inquiring minds want to know:

* Was it the fact that Police discovered that someone saw Kyron at 9AM. If so the police are refusing to say who that person was, where this took place, and what the circumstances were.

*Why did no one notice Kyron's backback left at school? Why didn't the stepmom plan to attend the talent show Kyron was supposed to be in that afternoon?

* Why did the Step-Mom post on her facebook that she wold be going to the gym shortly after reporting Kyron missing?

* What is the story behind the "picnic" that Step-mom apparently had at Sauvie Island that afternoon Kyron disappeared?

* Did Terri Horman lie to the police about her whereabouts on the morning her stepson vanished?

* Did Terri Horman tell a teacher that she was taking Kyron to the doctor on Friday, June 11? (the day of the disappearance?)

Terri Horman is scheduled to take a second polygraph test in the disappearance of 7-year-old Kyron. What information will this produce and will it help to find Kyron.

Individuals with information concerning this case should take no action themselves, but instead immediately contact the local tip line at 503/261-2847, the nearest FBI Office or local law enforcement agency. For any possible sighting outside the United States, contact the nearest United States Embassy or Consulate.

Investigation for Oregon Boy Now Criminal

Kyron Hormon is still missing. I find it very interesting that they have already changed the status of the case. It's not unusual to scale back the search after a certain period of time has passed but I don't remember the status of a case changing so quickly.

Could it be that they have already narrowed in on a suspect?

Please help! Anyone with information on Kyron's whereabouts is urged to call the Multhnomah County Sheriff's Office tip line at (503)-261-2847
