Bye Bye Kroger Gift Card

I spent the last $5 that was on the Kroger gift cards I won. When I won the $1,500 worth of gift cards they said it was three months worth of groceries. Who knew it would last me through the last part of May, all of June, July, August, September, and part of October?

Hamburger Helper was on sale and I was thrilled. Darryl and I love to have it with veggie products instead of beef. I bought eight boxes of it at $1 a box. What made the deal even better because I had two coupons for $1 off three and two coupons for 35 cents off a box. This means they only cost me about 65 cents a box.

Best thing for a gum fanatic like me was scoring two packs of Dentyne Ice for free. Thank God for freebie coupons. Of course free ice cream from Edy’s sure was great. I still had a coupon for those Edy’s ice cream bars.

Since we are still basically living at the house in Cartersville, I’m still buying Lean Cuisine which was still on sale for $2 a piece. I had a coupon for $1 off five boxes. It makes them a little more palatable at $1.50 a box.

Pre-coupons the total would have been $156.69 After coupons it was $70.53. Then of course the last of my free gift card which is $5 which made my total out of pocket $65.53.

Interestingly enough I checked my total annual Kroger Plus Savings and it said $622.33. I already miss my gift cards. I wish I could win more Kroger Gift Cards.
