Bound For Snow - American Girl Book Review

Your child can imagine herself as the main character of this interactive story, a girl who loves to be outside in wintertime. In the book Bound for Snow (Innerstar University) the main character is teaching Honey the golden retriever how to pull a dog sled, but she just doesn't seem to be getting the hang of it. What I loved most about this book was that this book deals with so many of the things that a young girl must deal with. Will you stick with it, even when things are hard? Can you find the strength to ask your friends for help? With more than 20 different endings, your child will enjoy this book again and again to see how different decisions change the story. This book comes with a limited-time access code to innerstarU.com--an interactive online world--plus, a secret access code for even more endings online!
Bound for Snow is an Innerstar University gamebook for the My American Girl dolls.  Innerstar University is a fictional place where the girls live together in a dorm. As your young reader (8 years or older) reads the story, she has an opportunity to determine what kind of adventure she will enjoy. Each page has a direction at the bottom. Some pages tell you to go to directly to another page and keep reading. Some pages give you a choice of two pages to turn to depending on your choice in the activity you wish to explore.

So how does the Maven rate these interactive stories? American Girl books empower girls to be stronger and to find their inner strength. This is why I give them both a STRONG 4 Stars.
