Job Shadow

Commerce Secretary Carlos Gutierrez Speaks On Unemployment Numbers

Today was Job Shadow Day for our students. Job Shadow is an academically motivating activity designed to give kids the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work and provide the answer to the commonly asked question, “Why do I have to learn this?” I think this is an excellent opportunity for our students and I wish more had participated.

This morning I found out this morning I won: Pre-paid access code for state and federal tax preparation and E-filing with TurboTax Deluxe Online Edition and instruction

Then when I returned home I found two boxes on my doorstep. they both contained the same prize which is Martha Stewart's Cooking School: Lessons and Recipes for the Home Cook cookbook and a coupon for a free Hunts product (ARV $26.95). That was from a recipe contest that I entered sponsored by ConAgra foods. I entered twice and I won two cookbooks.

There's also a mystery package waiting to be picked up at the post office. I owe 966 cents postage on that but I wonder if it's m IPod.

I'm also pretty thrilled because I'm back up to three followers. That means either someone came back or I have a new follower. YIP YIP YIPPEE!!!!!!!! I can't tell you just how thrilled I am. I'm trying to figure how to make this blog work and I sure could use some suggestions.

I seem to be doing pretty well with blog contests so I'm going to list the ones I entered today:

Prize: $30 Good For the Kids gift certificate.

Prize: Copy of The Kingmaking by Helen Hollick (ARV $17).

Prize: He's Just Not That Into You CD soundtrack and hoodie.
